Mary Mowbray
Mary Mowbray is a registered dental hygienist, innovator and educator in all area of oral health, widely respected among her peers both here and overseas.
Mary is the director and owner of the Dental Hygiene Clinic in Auckland, New Zealand. The first stand alone dental hygiene clinic in New Zealand.
At the Dental Hygiene Clinic, Mary offer all aspects of dental hygiene therapy within the scope of practice. Her special interests include compromised patients, implant disease patients and TMD.
Along with being visitor lecturer at both universities in NZ, Mary is also the Chief Executive of the Institute of Dental Hygiene (encouraging, professional development of dental professionals globally)
Graduated from the School of Dental Hygiene in the UK in 1978, Mary worked with the school dental service in the UK implementing dental health into the curriculum in every school in the county of Sussex, followed by general practice and Periodontist practice specialising in dental implants for over 20 years. Mary lectures on many aspects of dental hygiene throughout Asia Pacific and future afield in the South Africa, UK, Europe and now the Middle East.
Founder and Founder President of the NZDHA, Editor of the NZDHA newsletter, IFDH delegate for many years, has kept Mary at the forefront of dental hygiene professional development.
